Waynesboro Girls Tennis Team defeated Robert E. Lee in the District semi finals. The Lee team had defeated Waynesboro just last week 6-3 and it appeared to be a duplicate match when the 6 singles matches were again split and the #1 Waynesboro doubles team lost. However, the #3 Waynesboro doubles team of Aliisa Altau and Rachael Binda won and the team score was 4-4. In an exciting hour and 45 minute struggle, the #2 doubles team of Lauren De Moss and Batina Koch was all smiles with their win and a 5-4 team victory.
Waynesboro will travel to Spotswood for the District Finals May 15.

Altau/Binda (W) def 6-2, 6-4
Waynesboro Girls are now 12-2 overall and 6-2 in the district and play in the District finals on Tuesday against Spotswood.
